You thought this was going to be another one of those adventure entries, didn't you? Where I go off in my little car with my camera and share my time with you? Perhaps some nature walk somewhere, or maybe a stroll down the beach under the blue sky?

Nope!

There are people in this entry! Real people! And they're not photos taken in my house, but outside, in the fresh air! Whaaaaaat??

Yes, some are of my own child, but I used my actual camera for a change rather than my phone. I had to bribe her, because bribery = cooperation but whatever. I needed to get back to photos of real people.  Plus we have this beautiful yard, I thought it would be nice to make use of it!

The there's this kid....

Who in the what? Yes, her eyes are that big and blue, her hair that curly. She gave us approximately two minutes of cooperation. Then we thought we'd try and get her boots off and it all went downhill from there. I'm not complaining though, because have you looked at that face?

Then there was the trash the dress session. Ohhh I still swoon....

That little blonde, curly haired cutie above with the watermelon? That's Emma. The beauty in the dress is Emma's mom. And she absolutely nailed this session. The water was freezing, and it was windy and cold, yet I heard not a complaint from her. Plus, well, just look at her!

I seriously could just do a whole blog post on her. One of the funniest people I know with just enough awkwardness to round her out so you can't help but love her.

Then there was a morning beach session at this gorgeous place on a beautiful morning.

These boys keep their mama busy, and their mama, well, she's an amazing sitter to my daughter as well as the rest of the crew that descends on her each morning. Do you have a village? You know, a group of people you can rely on when you need another parent? I consider Becky a part of my village. What's this rash on my kid's leg? Becky might know. I'm out of tea tree oil, I think Becky has some. Are they supposed to wear pajamas to school today? I'll text Becky.

She's awesome, and her kids are awesome too :)

I haven't been blogging consistently, and it seems it's been awhile since anyone was in an entry besides me.

But here's the thing.

It's summer, and I'm ready to take photos out there in the great wide open. On the beach; in a field; in your yard. Heck, in MY yard.

We all know summer is the shortest season of all. It's here and gone in a blink. So let's take advantage, and capture these sweet summer days before they're gone!
